Cellaphone

Christian has become attached to one of my old cell phones. Excuse me..."Cellaphone" as he calls it. He will be playing like a normal kid when he'll suddenly stop, whip his cellaphone out of his pocket, cradle it between his ear and shoulder, and have a brief conversation. Something like this...
"Hello? Uh-huh. Yes. OK. ha, ha, ha (fake laugh) Talk to you later. Bye." Then he pockets it and goes back to playing. He does this several times a day, and panics of he can't find his phone. If you ask him, sometimes he's talking to Grandma or Daddy, but usually he says it's John Polk. John Polk? Who's that? Neither Murray or I know a John Polk, and as far as I know there are no characters on Sesame Street or Curious George named John Polk. Right? So what's up with that. Does my son really have an imaginary cellaphone friend he named John Polk?

Conversation with Alexander about his new turtle stuffed animal...

"I like my new frog."
"Actually that's a turtle. See, he has a shell and flippers."
pause.
"Why is my new frog wearing slippers?"
