Superheroes

Christian is into Superheroes right now. At least twice a day he says, with the sweetest smile, "Spiderman, Batman, and Superman are my friends." Other than the pictures on his pajamas and a few t-shirts, he knows nothing about them. Doesn't matter..he loves them. Murray has taught him to say "Spiderman...nobody knows who you are!" I guess that's his tagline? Christian asked me what Superman says. I was stumped. From somewhere deep in my memory came the phrase "Truth, Justice and the American Way!" Is that from the Superman cartoon or am I mixing it up with parts of the Gettysburg Address? (Many thanks to the husband who can set me straight. I promise not to call him a geek...to his face.) So now we have "Spiderman...nobody nobody are!" and "tooth, jamas, and the mercan way!" He tries, my little man. Of course Alexander is taking this all in, although he only has eyes for Wiping A-clean (Lightning McQueen...from Disney's Cars for all you girl-only moms.)

Last night I asked Alexander if he did something. He told me he didn't, so I asked if he was sure and was he telling me the truth. He said..."I say the troof, justice, and Merican Way!"

I know, I asked for that one.
