Recent Update

We finally have a pool.  It has been a patience testing 3 months, but the pool is open for business.  Unfortunately they are still working on the decking.  Can't seem to get it right.  They are out there right now for the 6th or 7th time since mid-May.  We were able to get our landscaping done though.  It's minimalist, which is code for we-ran-out-of-money-but-dirt-and-sand-weren't-working.  Just as well because I'm not a big work in the yard person, so there is less to kill.
On my way too short visit to Murphy last weekend I brought back a train set that our generous friend Caryn gave to Christian & Alexander.  Murray spent yesterday morning putting it together.  It's huge!  The kids are in heaven.  Alexander loves the "mocon troll" train and thinks stopping it so that Christian's train crashes into it is hysterical.  Christian does not.  Lots of "Stop Al-u-zander! Crashing is not funny it's dangerous!"
Yesterday I had my first annual exam with a new gyno.  That getting to know you conversation while my feet are in the stirrups is greaaaat.  She told me I drink too much water.  Huh?  Guess I'll have to join Water Anonymous or switch to the hard stuff.  Tough call.
Alexander has become I non-napper.  Sob.  He lays up there talking to himself and his friends (stuffed animals), then I hear some yelling (friends must be getting a lecture), then I hear knocking.  He knocks on the door waiting for me to answer and let him out.  If I don't then he scoots out on his bottom and slowly, so I won't notice, inches to the stairs and stealthily comes down until he is standing in front of me with a triumphant face that says "I won!"  Future black ops for sure.  Then I have to keep him quiet for 3 hours while Christian still sleeps.  Of course he knows his playmate is just one shout away so it's a challenge to get him to play quietly.  A few days ago I made the mistake of going to the bathroom leaving him to bolt up the stairs and into the bedroom.  He claims he didn't wake Christian...his friends did.  Moose and triceratops got a time out...along with Alexander.
