Random Facts

It's been a really long time.  But checking around, I'm not the only one that hasn't really posted since "first day of school."  Oh except for Caryn the blogging maniac.  Quit making the rest of us look bad!  :)

I have so much to catch up on...Hurricane Ike, Room Mom Madness, neighborhood drama, bad pediatricians, yet another Pottery Barn story, and of course the endless humor supplied by my kiddos.  But, I'm a little tired right now, so I'm just going to answer a challenge in this post....
 
I've been tagged by Brittney to write 6 random facts about myself.  Most of you already know all the interesting stuff about me, so here's some lame info...

1.  I can't spell.  I have to ask Murray or look up words in the dictionary all the time.  Yeah spell check!

2. I almost went to art school.  I even had a portfolio with samples of work that had won awards.  I applied to several schools in NYC my senior year in high school, and then chickened out.  Except for a few small things I've done for my kids' room, I haven't drawn or painted since high school.

3. My dad taught me to drive in a stick shift pick-up truck...with a snowplow on the front.  It was a good look for a 16 year old girl.  Not.

4. I was a live mannequin at JC Penney in the Dartmouth Mall when I was a senior in high school.  Who knew I could stand still and not talk for 15 whole minutes at a time!

5. I wish I could play the violin.

6. My fingernails and eyebrows grow at an alarming rate.  I can barely keep up with the maintenance.  And no, I'm not taking prenatal vitamins....I was a total caveman when I was pregnant!
